The Iowa Graduate Business Analytics Case Competition is a chance for the brightest graduate analytics students in the country to come together (virtually) and solve a real-world business problem, provided by this year's case sponsor, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Understanding trends in global vaccination is key to creating a plan to estimate health outcomes, and drive proper planning and resource allocations. Multiple datasets have become available to help us better understand global forecasted vaccine coverage.
This year’s case involves exploring these datasets, along with any other data or indicators, to create analytics and recommendations on how to prioritize vaccine development needs, drive allocation of valuable resources, set an annual budget, and prepare for the future.
During the competition, teams will perform a deep-dive analysis and consider multiple data points before making their recommendations to a panel of industry experts. The first round of the competition involved 30 teams from all over the world! This event is the final round of the competition, featuring the 5 finalist teams.
